As you know, there is a change with the O-Level English Oral exam.

Where the Read Aloud part of the exam will be replaced by the Planned Response component. Students will be given 10 minutes to watch a video clip and plan their response to an accompanying prompt, before delivering a talk of up to two minutes.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) said this is a more authentic assessment of students’ oracy skills.

The Spoken Interaction portion which a student discusses a topic related to the first segment with the examiner – remains the same.
